Author Purpose

Bronte the author of the novel, Wuthering Heights, does a clear job depicting the social class divides of her time. In order to show the divides of the classes, she uses imagery and clear descriptions of the characters. The lower class is shown through illiteracy and their workloads. The middle class is shown to be stable with roofs over their heads but not materialistically fulfilled. The upper class i shown through their materials and excessive needs.
