- Attend support groups with people that are facing them same issue
- Do constant reality checks, because just because it makes you look cool, or all your friends do it doesn't mean you should risk taking a life or injuring yourself or someone else
- Know that there is a problem, and know the consequences you will face, and the steps you can take while your addicted
-Express your feelings, good or bad, but don't hold them all in and know drinking and doing drugs won't solve them

Possible Solutions for being addicted to alcohol or drugs-

-Number one is don't do drugs, or drink alcohol, it may be cool at the time, but as time progresses you don't look so cool

- Talk to people about how your feeling, and don't just drink your problems away, because that only last a night or half a day
