Battle of Saratoga

The Battle of Saratoga happened in New York. The patriots fought hard and wouldn't back down. This put great pressure on the British. The British army heard that the Green Mountain boys went to help in Saratoga to fight against the British. British commander Burgoyne was being pelted by the patriots. He knew he wouldn't win so he surrendered. Then the French joint Athens colonies to defeat Britain.
