Jerry Cruncher is the man in the book who is an old, grumpy man. I chose Clint Eastwood for his actor because when Clint was in his prime he also worked odd jobs. Such as, hay bailer, logger, truck driver, and more. Jerry was also an odd job man, so both of these charcters fit perfectly. "Outside Tellson's was an odd-job man, an occassional messenger and porter, who served as the live sign of the house."
