Summer
Earth's rotational axis leans along the Earth's orbit that is pointing towards the sun. Since the Earths surface is facing the sun the more heat it gets causing that part of the Earth to be a hotter temperature. The days are longer and nights are shorter. In the northern hemisphere it would be cold.
The Seasons
Winter
The reason why it's cold during winter is because of how the Earth is rotating on its axis. The Earth rotates away from the sun, which means that the Earths surface doesn't get the sun's heat. That's what makes it cold. In the northern hemisphere the days are shorter and the nights are longer. In the Southern Hemisphere the days are longer and the nights are shorter which is summer
Fall/Autumn
The north end of the Earth's rotational axis leans along the Earth's orbit pointing away from the sun. The days and nights are equal. They both equally get 12 hours. The Southern Hemisphere would be in spring with the same amount of hours in days and nights.
Spring
The Earth's rotation on its axis leans on the Earth's orbit towards the sun. It would be warmer during this time. The northern hemisphere the days and nights each get 12 hours but the Southern Hemisphere is in fall/autumn
