Royal palace

Soldier:  The soldier can move 1 vertically but once they cross the river they can move 1 horizontally as well.

Horse:  The horse moves 1 vertically and 1 diagonally

Elephant: The elephant moves 2 diagonally 

Chariot: The chariot Moves unlimited spaces horizontally and vertically

Cannon: The cannon can move Like a chariot but in order to capture a unit it must jump over another

Mandarins: mandarins can move anywhere but they can't leave the royal palace 

General: The general can move 1 vertically and horizontally but can't leave the royal palace

In order to win one must capture the other teams general
