Chris Kyle was born April 8 1972 in Odessa Texas. He live in Odessa throughout his youth where his father worked as a deacon and his mother as a Sunday school teacher. He has one younger brother who was a marine.

Before his career in the military he graduated high school and became a professional bronco rider. His dreams of being a bronco rider were suddenly ended with an accident that severely hurt his wrist. Once his wrist healed he decided to go through BUDs (basic underwater demolition training) and become a navy seal.

He and his were friend were killed in 2013 by a war veteran at a gun range that had mental disabilities.
