The Boston Tea Party.

On the night of December 16, 1773, dozens of colonists boarded on 3 ships in the Boston Harbor and hurled 342 crates of tea overboard in act of political protest.
There were actually 2 Boston tea party's.
The famous one carried out by Sons of Liberty in 1773.
A year later in 1774 commoners of the colonies had their own tea party.
It cost the British a load of money,equivalent of 83 million.
