How to know what topic to choose

The topic choice can be one of the most difficult parts of the speech writing process. Just simply write about what you like and know most about. If you are forced to write a speech on something you know nothing about, then research enough so you know the topic inside and out. The worst thing you can be is underprepared. Other than that, topic choice is a fun process to go through.
