What is happening...

Odysseus arrives in a new city, the grounds of the Phaiákians, and is welcomed by Alkínoös. Everyone is excited after Athena, disguised, goes around and tells everyone a "special" man is there. Demódokos sings songs about Odysseus because the prince said so and Odysseus cries. They then have completions and Odysseus schools all of them. After Demódokos sings another song bringing Odysseus to tears, Alkínoös requests to know who Odysseus really is.
