Because the cast of the play has to meet so much throughout the year, everyone gets to know each other very well. In many cases, people still hold parties for cast members years after the production was over! In many ways everyone becomes one gigantic family! Because members of the cast must perform in front of others, it helps those who are shy to get used to public speaking and more outgoing too! Speaking as one who is generally quiet, it helped me as well!
