Liane's Story

Liane lived in a city in which antisemitism flourished. Her family planned to escape to France and go into hiding with their fellow family member. Her siblings were caught and her family was deported to Auschwitz camp in Poland. Her family was murdered by an officer who was later sentenced to life in prison, Liane was only 7 years old when she died. No country would accept the Krochmal family so they had no choice but to go with the Nazis
