The Daoist holy book is called Tao Te Ching.

It is predicted that the holy book was written 2,500 years ago.

The book has 81 chapters and is translated from ancient China.

The book was ascribed to Lao-Tzu. It was written as a guide for rulers. Also, it defined Dao, or way, and established the philosophical basis of Daoism.

The theme of the Tao Te Ching is the nature of the relationship between the two principles that govern the universe, Yin and Yang. Yin is “feminine” qualities and Yang is “masculine” qualities. They appear to be opposites. In reality Yin and Yang are reverse aspects of the same thing. The two are one and can't exist apart from each other.
