Graduated Technique

-Section hair with 6 basic sections

-Release sections 1 & 2 

-Have guest tilt head down and create guide with desire length w/ max tension. Use secondary scissor position 

-Tilt guests head up & release section 3 & 4

-Take subsections if you cannot see your guide

-Start in center taking new subsection and part of guide

-Cut to guide at comb elevation using primary scissor position

-Continue grabbing subsections and using comb elevation technique 

-Center to right, centered to left 

-Release sections 5 & 6

-Take subsections and cut to guide at comb elevation

Check for balance continuously
