In Djibouti I visited...

This is Djibouti City. It is the place where the Afar people lived. The Afar people were an ancient tribe/ ethnic group of Djibouti. The are a scarce amount of them living there today. Djibouti City is the capital of Djibouti. It is also the largest city in the nation housing to 60% of Djibouti's population (600,000 people). Djibouti City is located in the coastal Djibouti region on the Gulf of Tadjoura.

This is Tadjoura City. Tadjoura City is one of Djibouti's oldest cities. Tadjoura City lies of the Gulf of Tadjoura. It houses about 25,000 people. Tadjoura City is Djibouti's third largest city after Djibouti City and Ali Sabien.

This is Moucha Island. Moucha Island is located in the middle of the Gulf of Tadjoura. Moucha Island is not home to many people. There are about only 25 people living there. This number potentially grows each summer with tourists that move. The main island is less than 3 kilometers long. There are small islands, known as the Maskali islands, surronding Moucha Island. Moucha Island lies 15 kilometers south of the Djibouti mainland.
