DC comics was first founded by Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in 1934.

The Detective comics series was the first comic book published by DC in March, 1937.

The chief creator of the comic was Tony S. Daniel. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster helped with the creation.
