Endocrine System
Endocrine: the body system that consists of glands and produces hormones
Thyroid gland: the endocrine gland that produces thyroid, a hormone that controls metabolism and calcium balance in the body
Parathyroid glands: the endocrine glands that secrete hormones, which control the amount of calcium and phosphorus in the body.
Pancreas: the gland that produces both digestive enzymes and insulin. Insulin is a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels
Adrenal glands: the endocrine glands that secret several hormones, including adrenaline, a hormone that prepares the body to react during times of stress, danger, or in any emergency.
Pituitary glands: the endocrine gland that produces hormones which controls growth and other glands
Ovaries: female reproductive glands that produce ova and estrogen (usually 2in a female)
Testes: male reproductive glands that produce sperm and testosterone.
