The Enigma was a cipher machine created by the Germans to send important information in coded messages to their officers. Which they had the machine to decipher the messages.

 It all started when there was a weather boat out on the seas by Great Britain,  tracking the weather, when they intercepted some radio signals that they didn't understand. So they alerted Great Britain that they got this weird signal, which was a German code called  the Enigma Code. Alan Turing invented a machine called the Bomber that translated the code. The bomber did not take to much time to break the Enigma code.

Alan Turing was born on June 23 ,1912. He died on June 7 ,1954 ( age 41 ) 16 days before his birthday. The Enigma code was cracked at Bletchley park in Great Britain.
