Summary
When comparing Medieval and Renaissance artwork you can see the difference in detail and the topics of the art. In the medieval paintings almost all of them were based on religious figures with gold rings around there head representing halos, but with Renaissance the artists started painting scenes of parties and more relaxed situations other than religion. This could happen because the church had less power over the wealthy people willing to get paintings done because they didn't like the corruption of the church. The quality of paint and supplies greatly improved and the art became more life like. While in the medieval paintings they are less stressed on details and more wanting to just get the point across. The shift between medieval and renaissance art can be identified so easily because of the major differences like the life-likeness or the topic of the painting.
