Law of inertia-

According to Isaac Newton he said that an object at rest will stay at rest, and a object in motion will remain at a constant speed and straight line unless a unbalanced force is acted on it.

In the picture above the golf ball will stay still unless an unbalanced force is acted on it otherwise it will just sit there.
