In its short life (1919-1945) Fascism left a significant legacy in Italy. Its ideology, obsessions, illusions were inscribed on both place and memory, space and time. This lecture introduces Fascism as an ideological and political project, from its birth in Milan to its shattering defeat during World War 2.
