They did the same thing in 2011 when the japanese earthquake happened, also in 2011 apple gave out $2.6 million to charity. In 2012 they donated $2.5 million to the red cross to help with relief efforts for hurricane sandy. 2013 Apple donated $8 million to victims of the china earthquake and raised $65 million for the fight against AIDS.
