WHAT IS A CATRINA DOLL?

A catrina doll in Mexican culture is used to represent wealthy women and death, but in a happy way! (:

Catrina dolls trace back to 1910, when artist Jose Guadalupe Posada made an etching called La Calavera Catrina, or “The Elegant Skull” (on the left). Since then, Catrina dolls have been the face of the Day of the Dead.
