Chapter 19

1. Tom Robinson was Atticus's only witness. 

2. Tom's version of the events: he was walking by her house and Mayella was sitting on the porch and asked him to help her for a minute. She said the door hinges weren't working right but Tom checked them and they were.  Then Tom asked where the children were and she said they went to get ice cream and Tom said that was nice of her to save up like she was. Then she asked Tom to get a box down from a different chiffarobe than he beat up before. So he stood up on the chair and while he was reaching for it Mayella grabbed his legs and he hopped off of the chair then Mayella hugged him around the waist. Then Mayella kissed Tom on the cheek, her father came up a minute later and saw them in the window and yelled he'd kill Tom then Tom ran away.
