Scale models are used to create smaller or bigger models of an object. Scale models are used to make a layout of how something is gonna look like before they build the actual object or building. People have built models of cars, cities, and even entire states. Plastic scale models began in 1950 when Lewis Glasser and Nicholas Kove used their injection molding equipment to produce toys you had to build yourself. There were five skill levels, snap-together, beginner, intermediate, advanced, and customized kits.
