Seeds and fruits

When you think about seeds, you probably think about seeds you plant. However, lots of foods that you have eaten came from these.

You have probably ate Corn, Peas and Apples. Guess what? those foods originally came from seeds.

Embreyo: Tiny part of a seed that can grow into a new plant.

Monocot seed: A seed that has one seed leaf and stored food outside the seed leaf.

Dicot seed:

A seed that has two seed leaves that contains stored food.
