What is it?

The Rosetta Stone is a stone also know as a rock stele. A stele is a stone or wooden slab with writing or patterns on it. It is generally used for showing a memorial for the dead. It could also be used for government notices or a teritorial marks. The Rosetta stele is from ancient Egypt and has two languages written on it Egyptian and Greek, using three scripts hieroglyphics, demotic and Greek.
