Judaism is the world's oldest religion. Judaism traces back to the beginning of mankind, but it basically started with Abraham and the Hebrews. Judaism is a monotheistic religion (they believe in only one God). Judaism teaches that everyone is equal and has potential to do good in the world. Jews also believe that the messiah has not come yet.
The Torah, the Talmud, and the Midrash are Jewish sacred texts.
Some major Jewish holidays are Hanukkah, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur. Hanukkah celebrates the military victory over the Greek-Syria army that invaded Israel. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year. Yom Kippur is the day of atonement. Jews also celebrate the Bot or Bat Mitzvah. This celebrates reaching maturity at age 13.
