The Path of The Virus
The virus is introduced into the muscle through a bite from another animal, where it travels through the nerves to the site of the brain. The animal does not appear ill during this time, also called Incubation Period. This can last from weeks to months in which a bite from the animal has no risk of rabies because the virus hasn't affected the saliva.
