The Hollywood Ten were sentenced to one year in prison, and a fine of $1,000. They would attempt to Appeal the Verdicts but were unsuccessful. They began their terms in 1950.

While in prison, Edward Dmytryk, gave in and gave more than twenty names of people that he said had communist beliefs.
