Society:

-The Inca society did not have large classes of merchants or craftsmen because there was no market economy and the Inca state did not allow independent merchants

-Incas and their subjects traded agricultural products and hand crafted goods locally

-Long distance trade was controlled by the central government

-The trade of agricultural products, textiles, pottery, jewelry, and craft good were controlled by administrations

-Rulers, aristocrats, priests, and peasants were the main classes in Inca society

-The chief ruler was looked at as a deity descended from the sun

-All land, livestock, and property was owned by the god-king even after death, this land was given to the subjects who cultivated it

-Aristocrats dined on fine foods, dressed in embroidered clothes, and wore ear spools

-Priests were usually from aristocratic and royal families

-Aristocrats and priests lived ascetic lives and influenced Inca society
