MYHCC COURSE HOME PAGE REPLACMENT

In 2015, Ellucian notified the College that they were dropping support for MyHCC Course Home Pages. Students and Faculty regularly use MyHCC Course Home Pages to communicate during the semester. Students use it to view individual activity grades as activities are graded by the instructor. In November 2015, the HCC Online Team and the HCC IT Team began meeting to figure out how we would fill the void created by the loss of MyHCC Course Home Pages. After multiple conversations, and more than a year of research and discussion, we have found a solution that will integrate with our current student systems (PowerCampus and MyHCC), offer ready support for a platform that will be new for students and faculty, and fill the gap created by losing MyHCC Course Home Pages. The solution is a new data-integrated Moodle platform offered by a company called eThink, alongside 24/7 Moodle support offered by eLearning Innovation.
