Great Horned Owl Features, Traits, Size, and Color

          Great Horned Owls have very unusual features. It probably is best known for its big tufts on its head that looks very similar to horns. This common but special owl has large cat like eyes and brown white, gray markings that look like the bark of a tree. 

           Great Horned Owl males can grow to about 45.7 - 63.5 cm long. Their wingspan is about 127 - 152.4 cm long. That is a very big wingspan!
