The constitution becomes Law

New Yorker's didn't know if they should ratify the constitution and be apart of the United States.

Before it became law it had to be ratified by at least 9 of 13 states. New Hampshire was the ninth state to ratify the constitution and then it became law.

On September 17, 1787, the representatives signed the Constitution.

They had a vote and it was close a 30-27

New York was the 11th state In the United States.
