" The connies eye squelches like a grape speared by a fork when i shoved a blade into it. It doesn't scream. It doesn't stop coming after me...It smells like blood and puke, a nightmare right infront of me."(garner 31) Seeing a flesh eating creature coming after her made her stiffen as it got harder for her to crawl back away from it. It lead to her knowing that they can be very dangerous if you come face to face with one.
