Scientific notation
Scientific notation is used when writing very small or very big numbers. Doctors use scientific notation when talking about bacteria, viruses or dosage of medicine.
Big numbers can be written in scientific notation are (X x 10^X) while small numbers would be (X x 10^-X)
Examples
1. Bacteria is .0000079 to 0.00039 inches but in scientific notation it's 7.9x10^-6 inches.
2. An electron is 0.00000000000000000000000000000091096 kilograms but in scientific notation 9.1096x10^-31 kilograms.
