The coastal region is to the north of San Francisco Bay. The coast is very well known for the weather. That's because the weather there is very mild and warm. Most of California's population live in the coast because of that. The land on the coast takes up 400 miles of land. On the coast there are red wood trees that have rivers and streams. On the coastline fog comes very often. On winter the coast is still a bit warm. The wildlife there are black bear,elk,mule deer,and turkey. The vegetation there are redwood forest,pine forest,and sage bush. The land use are cities,towns,manufacturing,fishing,ranching,dairy farming, and oil.
