When an ecosystem is broken down, there is a community. A community is all of the different populations that share the same things. For an example, a monkey and a caterpillar might live in the same biome, but they are both part of a different ecosystem. When a community is broken down, there is population. A population is a group of organisms from the same species that live together in the same living space. For an example, in the Arctic, Polar Bear cubs live with their mother until the cubs are a little older. The cubs do that because there are vicious predators that will kill the cubs.
