The soldiers of the Muaryan army had great advantages over their enemies. Ashoka used 9,000 war elephants for transportation and combat. These elephants could stomp on any enemies in their path. Moreover, each elephant could carry four people through battle. Ashoka's army was enormous, and he had over 600,000 soldiers. Given all of these advantages, the Muaryan Army was impossible to stop, and Ashoka's empire grew stronger until he was no longer emperor.
