The Pure Food and Drug Act is for preventing the manufacture, sale, or transportation of adulterated ,misbranded, poisonous or deleterious foods, drugs, medicines, and liquors, as well as for regulating traffic.

This act is important but since we're still in laissez faire this act wasn't passed so u right mow might be eating intestines of a cow with meat of a pig and called chicken.

This is the reason this law was passed but again we're in laissez faire so this book did nothing to help people.
