Frog

- most begin life as aquatic larvae
- gas exchange through thin, gas-permeable skin and gills
- frog tadpoles use large tail fins (contain blood vessels)
- as they grow, gills (and the tail fin in frogs) degenerate and air sacs develop
- lungs- saclike structures, lack complex spongy structure of lungs of birds & mammals
