Japanese internment camps
After the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7,1941, many Americans became suspicious of the Japanese Americans. They blamed the Japanese people for the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Franklin D. Roosevelt passed the Executive Order 9066. This forced Japanese Americans from their homes in California to internment camps. They were crowded and small and were much like prisons with barbed wire. The American people judged the Japanese from an attack that they didn't even do which led to the Japanese minorities sent to internment camps.
