It is an unknown fact that one rainforest in Panama, holds over 20,000 species of insects! Tropical Rainforest's have a very dense population of both plants and animals. For example, bird diversity is high in the tropics, as well as many tree-oriented animals, such as monkeys and sloths. Tropical Rainforest's contain many primary, secondary and tertiary consumers, along with plants or producers. Rainforests also harbor more speices of bats than any other type of mammal. A bat is an example of a secondary consumer in a rainforest. With so many food chains and food webs, it is no surprise that there is so much life in a tropical rainforest.
