Gigantism is diagnosed in two ways, one way is the oral glucose tolerance test, another way is a series of blood test. Blood test are done to measure levels of growth hormones and insulin-like growth factors called (IGF-F)

If the levels remain the same after the blood samples, it means his or her body is producing to much growth hormones. Also if the blood tests indicate a pituitary gland tumor, the child will need to have a MRI .

How is it diagnosed?
