Cortes Conquers the Aztec

In 1400 Spanish explorers arrived and conquistadors came for gold and and to spread Christianity. Cortes landed in Mexico looking for gold in 1559 but Moctezuma the second believed Cortes resembled a god. Cortes was sent gifts including gold but later marched to Tenochtitlan and took Moctezuma prisoner. Moctezuma was later killed in a war between Spanish forces.
