ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA

Saint Catherine of Siena was born on March 25, 1347 in Siena, Italy during the Black Death. She was a scholastic philosopher and theologian. During her life,Moshe had many different visions including one that may have determined her future calling, her vocation.

She also worked to bring papacy of Pope Gregory XI back to Rome from its displacement in France. Catherine of Siena died on April 29, 1380 in Rome, Italy. She was best known for her extraordinary piety and for her stigmata. She is now the patron saint of Europe and Italy, firefighters, the sick, and nurses, and is a Doctor of the Church.
