Otter Facts

1. Otters are a little more than four feet long, but females are smaller than males.
2. A male otter weighs around 65-80 pounds, and a female weighs around 45-60 pounds.
3. Otters have very velvety fur and it's dark brown on top, and manilla on the bottom.
4. Otters eat abalone, sea urchins, clams, mussels, crabs, octopi, and other marine wildlife.
5. They breed every year, but only one pup at a time.
