Greg the main character is funny and weird and desperate. They call him THE WIMPY KID because he has a diary and is made fun of and has a 'lower' level friend and NOT MIDDLE SCHOOL READY. And his name is Rowley Jefferson. And he thinks he can just ditch him, but he will be helpless without him.
