First Empire

- Created by Sargon after he defeated many city states.

- This empire was in Mesopotamia.

Later, Amorites invade Mesopotamia and they set the New Capital at Babylon.

Hammurabi

- Babylonian empire reached its peak when controlled by Hammurabi, who created a code of laws to unify the diverse groups.
- Laws tell us a lot about beliefs and values
-- Ex: If a man puts out the eye of another man, his eye shall be put out.
