On Monday March 18th king stopped in Memphis to Speak to the workers.

Sometime later MLK returned to lead a march with the workers

But violence made its way into the march, workers picked up sticks and smashed windows and looted stores

Police came and tried to seize the workers, but the threw rocks at the police and the police threw tear gas and beat them with nightsticks

King was devastated that violence made its way in to the march so he scheduled another march and hoped that violence wouldn't prevail
